The Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has released an updated schedule for the previously postponed 9th Class Exams.

According to the revised dates, the Chemistry exam for General Science is set to take place on May 18, 2023, while the Islamiyat (Compulsory) / Seerat-ul-Rasool exam is scheduled for May 19, 2023. The Tarjama-Tul-Quran-ul-Majeed (Compulsory)/Ethics (for Non-Muslim) exam is planned for May 17, 2023.

This decision comes following the postponement of exams by several boards, including BISE Lahore, due to protests sparked by the arrest of PTI chairman Imran Khan.

BISE Lahore, in a public announcement, stated that the new exam dates were determined after comprehensive discussions among all Punjab Controllers. The updated schedule affects three postponed papers of the Secondary School Certificate Part.

Due to the short timeframe for distributing Roll Number Slips, students will receive SMS notifications on the mobile numbers provided in their admission forms. The schedule for practical exams will be adjusted accordingly, and the practicals for these dates will be rescheduled by the respective BISEs based on their date sheets.

Students will have the opportunity to sit for their exams at their pre-assigned examination centers, as per their groups, using their original roll number slips. Revised roll number slips can also be downloaded from the official Board websites.
