The broadcasting of Radio Pakistan Peshawar has been successfully reinstated within 26 hours of its interruption, thanks to the diligent efforts of the station’s technical team and the support of the Pakistan Army.

The iconic Radio Pakistan Peshawar building was targeted by troublemakers on Wednesday. They forced their way into the premises by breaking the main gate. Various sections of the radio station were vandalized and damaged by these individuals, who also set fire to official records, equipment, and vehicles.

Station Director of Radio Pakistan Peshawar, Ijaz Khan, reported that the broadcasting had been discontinued due to the havoc wreaked by the PTI troublemakers on Wednesday afternoon. However, he confirmed that the station was able to resume transmission both on MW 1260 Khz and through web streaming for the audience by Thursday evening.
