Najam Sethi is a Pakistani journalist, businessman, and cricket administrator. He was born on May 20, 1948, in Lahore, Pakistan. Sethi is the founder of The Friday Times and Vanguard Books, and he has served as a caretaker Federal Minister for Education, Information, and Broadcasting in Pakistan. He is currently serving as the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) . Sethi is married to fellow journalist Jugnu Mohsin, and they have two children, Mira Sethi and Ali Sethi. He graduated from Government College, Lahore, Pakistan, in 1967 and was awarded the President’s Gold Medal for standing first among over 50,000 students. Sethi began his sociopolitical endeavors with the socialist movement working for the rights of Balochistan, leading to his arrest in 1975 before being discharged in 1978.
